Secrets … to be unveiled at the Summer Walkabout

Monday, July 12th, 2010

This Saturday we are pleased to announce our latest art opening with artist Lindy Ivey: Secrets.  She’s rad.  The show starts at 6 and will go until 10 p.m. As per usual, it’s gonna be fun – Fat Molly’s 100% delicious brownies, beer, wine, and live music by Trio Gadjo.   The show is in conjunction with the South Park Walkabout (which, by the way, is always fun for the whole family).  Oh yeah!

Voices 4 … Local Authors & Music

Friday, May 28th, 2010

Voices 4…An Evening of Music and Word is brought to you by Monkey C Media Gallery and The Grove Bookstore.  Participating authors (who will read from their recently released books and sign copies for sale) are, Jeanne Peterson and her novel Falling to Heaven, Michelle Candland and her inspirational book Common Threads: How Women Weave Tribulation into Triumph, and U.S. Navy Chaplain and Commander Sheri Snively with her photographic collection of essays, Heaven in the Midst of Hell. In addition, musician and vocalist, Marie Haddad, will provide music throughout the evening.

This is an exciting event for us.  We work with many talented authors here at Monkey C Monkey and since we have the gallery space, this seemed like the perfect way to support local talent and invite the community in for a nice evening.  The event is free and open to the public.  There will be a wine and food reception following the event.   We also hope to have a presence from Read Local – an incredible organization that supports local authors in the San Diego area.

Voice 4 is a must-attend event with some of San Diego’s finest local talent.  Don’t miss it!

Happy New Year

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Everyone here at Monkey C Media wishes you a very Happy and Successful New Year!! We are really looking forward to what the New Year might bring: many great opportunities, new friends, new ideas and inspiration, and of course our never-ending drive to be the best we can be in everything we do. In preparation for 2010 we have been busy updating the Monkey C Media brand, launching this new site, creating new websites for Jeniffer and Chad (coming soon), and revamping our services to better serve our clients.

In addition to custom website design and development, we have developed a way to offer inexpensive websites that our clients can update and maintain themselves (no difficult programs or coding language needed). This is very exciting because we all know how important it is to have a website these days, but it’s just as important to keep your site fresh and up-to-date. That means you have to be able to make changes at 3:00 a.m. when we all have our best ideas, right? Right.

We still offer author coaching and consulting, but we will also help you develop an affordable Internet Marketing plan that you can implement yourself. Sometimes the best place to start with Internet Marketing is to figure out what is not working and make the changes to increase your site’s conversion rate. For example if you have a high bounce rate you know that people are not staying on your site—something about your home page is not working, it is not engaging or drawing in the people who mean the most to your success. We’ll help you develop a plan to make it right.

Plus, we offer book cover design, marketing collateral like postcards, business cards, bookmarks, post-up stands (great for book signings and trade shows), and professional photography. We are most excited about food photography this year! Check out these new photos Chad took for Cardamom Bakery and Cafe.

New Look at Monkey C Media

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

As many of you know – we moved our office to a new, “larger” location in South Park (just above downtown San Diego). Along with this transition, we decided to re-brand the MCM logo and collateral. We have also opened a Gallery, which has been a huge success – check out some pics below.

So here it is – our new site. What do you think? Give us a holler anytime. We look forward to connecting with you soon.
